Job Duties & Responsibilities
- Performs performance analysis of designs.
- Leads general engineering and design of avionics, aircraft structures, and aeromechanical systems.
- Leads task that documents designs with engineering drawings and written descriptions.
- Leads tasks that write fabrication and test procedures.
- Leads flight test operations, some travel may be required.
- Manages tasks or provides technical leadership on tasks.
- Assists in proposal & report writing.
- Performs performance analysis of designs.
Required Qualifications & Background
- Requires Aero./Mech. Engineering B.S. degree minimum, advanced degree a plus.
- 10+ years experience in R&D projects, primarily focused on UAV experience desired.
- Should have General Engineering fundamentals, mathematics, physics, material properties, & electronics knowledge and experience.
- Experience & research in micro UAV design and flight controls desirable.
- Design/drafting/ CAD experience required.
- Field test experience desired.
- Excellent verbal and written skills - Leadership experience - Team Player.
- Familiar with software tools in their area of expertise; Solidworks experience desirable.
- Familiar with office software and computer based productivity tools; Will work on government contracts.
