Composite/Design Technician II, 08-261

Job Duties & Responsibilities
- Works with and fabricates aircraft structures and tools using
various composite materials. - Works with and fabricates tooling, fixtures, jigs, etc. from a
variety of materials including steel and aluminum. - Follow design drawing instructions and written process
instructions in the fabrication of parts. - Works directly with Design Engineers in performing fabrication
and assembly tasks.
Required Qualifications & Background
- 3 to 5 years experience with large composite aircraft structures
fabrication and/or test. - Experienced with typical composite lay-up techniques.
- Experienced in handling and working with composite materials,
fiberglass, carbon fiber or Kevlar. - Experience in using standard machine shop equipment and tools.
- Ability to work effectively in a collaborative, innovative, and
collegiate culture. - Ability to follow both written and verbal directions for
composite lay-up. - Ability to effectively work in a team to accomplish large part fabrication.
