Job Duties & Responsibilities
- Engage customers to understand their payload requirements.
- Support writing proposals and promoting programs with military customers and government R&D organizations.
- Identify partners, technology providers, and vendors that can supply UAS payload subsystems.
- Establish agreements and NDA’s with vendors and partner organizations.
- Lead payload integration projects including interface board development and software interface.
- Understand interfaces and operation of payload products and support customer technical questions on the use and feasibility of various UAS payloads.
Required Qualifications & Background
- The ideal candidate has an electrical engineering background with strong skills in working with customers, project management, and proposal writing.
- 3-7 years relevant experience required.
- BS Electrical Engineering or equivalent required Advanced degree desirable.
- Experience with FPGA programming. Systems engineering experience.
- Experience in unmanned systems, especially UAS payloads.
- Experience in application engineering.
- Experience with embedded systems, circuit board development, and C++ programming.
- Experience writing proposals and working with customers on projects.
- Experience with EO/IR cameras or sensors and instrumentation hardware.
- Experience in the aerospace and defense industry and/or military background.
- Good project management skills, customer skills, and sufficient technical breadth to understand and discuss a broad range of technologies with customers.
- Ability to balance technical and business issues.
