Job Duties and Responsibilities
  • Key member of Efficient Energy Systems Operations team, responsible for the development and execution of world-class Sourcing and Supply Chain strategies.
  • Will develop strategic partnerships, leveraging capabilities of key suppliers for Electric Vehicle charging and test equipment, Clean Energy products and advanced technologies.
  • I’m looking for a leader whose international experience in supplier selection and management is only exceeded by their understanding of procurements process and infrastructure development.
  • This individual will be responsible for several infrastructure development projects along with the quality cost delivery and inventory management for specific commodities.
  • Responsibilities will also include the CCB and ECO review and approval.
  • Has a thorough understanding of industry leading practices in planning and materials management.
  • Has experience in the world of aircraft and automotive manufacturing.
  • Has experience in the implementation and/or use of several MRP/ ERPs.
  • Has personal experience in the development, management and implementation of consignment material, kanban, VMI  systems.
  • Has project management experience with the ability to affect results both inside and outside their area of direct functional responsibility.
  • This individual will understand the purchasing and sourcing processes so well they could write PO s and RFQs as easily as they could negotiate a contract, Writes ERP / Data Base queries as easily as they format reports for presentation, is as comfortable creating workflows as they are training people in their use.
  • Additional responsibilities (not limited to):
    • Prepares proposals for manufacturing strategies (make, buy, turn key) for advanced products and product cost improvement.
    • Ensures sourcing activity and transactions comply with Sarbanes Oxley.
    • Conducts rigorous analysis of spend data and supply market dynamics to identify and prioritize sourcing initiatives and directions.
    • Develop and manage Automotive-grade supply chains worldwide.
    • Prepares procurement contracts, resolves and prevents backorders, optimizes inventory and obtains supplier buffer stock commitments, drives supply chain cost reduction, monitors supplier markets and establishes standard costs.
    • Defines and executes multi-sourcing strategies as necessary.
    • Create integrated processes among Operations, Purchasing, Logistics, and outside suppliers to execute the planning/replenishment process.
    • Defines and manages indirect spending plans for Sourcing activities.
    • Creates and manages competitive RFIs, RFPs, and RFQs.

Required Qualifications and Background
  • Bachelor’s degree (preferably in a Engineering or management discipline) from a four-year college or university, minimum 7 years experience in strategic sourcing, commodity management, supplier relationship management, logistics or supply chain or management consulting.
  • MBA a plus.
  • Ability to create and manage various reports, strong data gathering, presentation and communication skills.
  • Proficient in MS Office applications.
  • Excellent planning and prioritization skills with the ability to multitask and maintain by adapting to change.
  • Proven contributions in high cost/quality sensitive, medium to high volume product environments, ideally has demonstrated results in consumer electronics or Automotive products industry.
  • Demonstrated history in product life cycle, design for manufacturing and maintenance of product in all stages of life cycle.
  • Experience in global sourcing a must. Experience with global turn key sourcing and establishment required.
  • Working experience with MRP and related planning functionality.
  • Demonstrates skill in planning and leading negotiations and working knowledge of structuring and managing supplier contracts, enterprise level procurement background using multiple buying tactics, processes, and strategies.
  • Able to travel domestically and internationally up to 40%.
