Melissa Brown has served as AV’s Executive Vice President, Chief Legal and Compliance Officer, and Corporate Secretary. Since joining the company in 2015 as Corporate Counsel, she has played a pivotal role in guiding AV through significant growth and transformation. In 2016, she was appointed Vice President, General Counsel and Corporate Secretary, and in 2025, she assumed her current role, where she leads the company’s legal, compliance, and corporate governance functions.

Prior to joining AV, Melissa was an associate attorney at K&L Gates LLP in Los Angeles and Jennings Strouss & Salmon PLC in Phoenix, where she advised clients on a broad range of securities transactions, mergers and acquisitions, and corporate governance matters.

Melissa holds a Juris Doctor from the Arizona State University College of Law and a Bachelor of Science in Microbiology and Molecular Genetics from the University of California, Los Angeles.
